MISSION
We are building a global database of soil and near-surface temperatures,
and associated species data for use in ecological modelling.
-- Submission for our first data-based paper (SoilTemp version 1.0),
has been closed on October 1st, 2020 --
-- For inclusion in the open-access database itself (SoilTemp version 2.0) or other upcoming papers,
we do not have a deadline yet, so all submissions still very welcome! --
For more information, see our call for data published in Global Change Biology!

database
The SoilTemp-database is currently under development and data is not yet open access (publication planned 2021).
Metadata of our growing database can however be freely explored.
Clicking on the map below brings you to the microclimate loggers app, an effort to bring together
all available microclimate data from across the globe, to which SoilTemp actively contributes
(map courtesy of the Environment and Sustainability Institute of the University of Exeter).
Don't hesitate to get in touch with us - or the respective regional contact persons - if you have any questions or ideas.
